Unforgettable Competition

        I have participated in all Island competitions several times at school. But each of those days I will never forget the day I performed a Gazal song for the old Island competition. 

            I practiced a lot for that competition, so I had a lot of confidence💪. But I was a little shocked until the competition started. There were seven more competitors to compete with me. All of them are very talented. But in the end, I was able to get second place out of all of them🥈. I am being crazy since I heard that. I was full of happiness😍. My music teachers and my parents were happier than I was. My music teacher, Deepika madam is very sensitive. I saw her shed happy tears for me that day. My love for her grew even stronger. Also, I felt humbled and proud of myself for bringing fame to my school, Dedigama Perakumba National School.

            I was coached by miss. Deepika Kumari Mr. Kapila weerasekara  and mr. Upul Dayarathna for that competition. Also, my friends Janitha Weerasekara, Ayesh Shashika, Dasun Panchala, and Niru Dasanayake support me. I got something valuable lesson because of that competition. I learned that commitment and enthusiasm lead to victory.😊😌
